Ticketing FAQs

The Ticket Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM-6 PM and on Saturday from noon-4 PM. On performance days, the Ticket Office is open at least two hours prior to the performance and until 1/2 hour past curtain.

Tickets can be purchased by phone by calling (562) 916-8500 or in person at our Ticket Office during our regular business hours. You may also purchase tickets online at any time.

We accept cash, personal checks, bank checks made payable to the CCPA, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept CCPA Gift Certificates and valid CCPA Ticket Vouchers. Please note that Gift Certificates and Ticket Vouchers can only be applied towards performances presented by the CCPA. One Ticket Voucher is allowed per event and multiple Ticket Vouchers cannot be combined on one transaction.

Personal checks are not accepted for ticket purchases on the day of the performance. Personal checks must be pre-printed with the account holder’s name and address. Should the Ticket Office need to process a refund for an order overpayment by personal check, a City of Cerritos check will be issued and mailed under separate cover. Refunds on overpayment take 10 to 15 business days to process.

We offer some of our tickets through Goldstar, but no other ticket sites other than cerritoscenter.com. While you might find tickets to our theater on other sites, we do not work in conjunction with any other websites. We strongly recommend avoiding other organizations, services, or ticketing brokers as they usually sell our tickets at inflated prices and offer little, if any, assistance should you have questions once the tickets are purchased.

Using a search engine to find our website may result in your being directed to a ticket broker or ticket resale service site. Make sure that cerritoscenter.com is in the web address field and that you are purchasing tickets at the same price that is listed in our brochure. If seating issues occur on the night of the performance involving tickets purchased through a broker or resale service, the CCPA reserves the right to ask the current ticket holder to purchase new tickets for the performance.

The CCPA reserves the right to revoke all advance purchase, refund, and exchange privileges extended to a ticket’s original purchaser should such tickets be found placed with online ticket brokers or other ticket sales services at prices in excess of the ticket’s face value.

You can select which seats you would like to purchase online. Or, you can select the best seats available based on your requested price range and number of tickets. If you have questions about Select-Your-Own-Seat or best availability, call the Ticket Office at (562) 916-8500 during regular business hours and an operator will try to seat you per your request.

CCPA Gift Certificates are available and may be purchased online in any denomination. You may also purchase CCPA Gift Certificates by phone at (562) 916-8500 or in person at our Ticket Office during regular business hours.

While you cannot redeem a Gift Certificate or Ticket Voucher online at this time, you can mail it in and apply it to your order. When purchasing tickets, please follow the instructions on how to apply a Gift Certificate or Ticket Voucher to your order.

Gift Certificates issued from the CCPA never expire. You may use it at any time for events sold through the Ticket Office. Please note that this applies only to Gift Certificates. Ticket Vouchers expire one year from the date of issue. If you are uncertain as to which one you have, call the Ticket Office at (562) 916-8500 during regular business hours. An operator will be more than happy to help you determine whether you have a Gift Certificate or a Ticket Voucher.

Yes, your party is seated together. As long as your seats are consecutively even or odd numbered, your party will be seated together. This is because the House Right side of the theater is even numbered and the House Left side is odd numbered.

Regardless of age, everyone must have a ticket, sit in a seat, and be able to sit quietly throughout the performance. While we do not recommend children under the age of 5 attend an event unless specifically described as suited to that age, we will not prohibit you from entering the theater. Call the Ticket Office at (562) 916-8500 for information about shows appropriate for younger audiences. Please be aware that if your child becomes a distraction, you may be asked to exit the theater until your child is ready to re-enter.

A listing of current shows and events can be found in our Tickets & Performances section.

Yes, a group of 20 or more tickets to one event receives a 10 percent discount. Restrictions may apply for some performances. Call the Ticket Office about available group discounts at (562) 916-8500 during regular business hours.

There is a $9 per ticket service charge for exchanges for CCPA events, and the exchange must be done by the original purchaser. Original tickets must be returned to the Ticket Office no later than two hours prior to the performance.

No refunds or exchanges are available for Performance Partner Program events.

When you place an order, you have the option to have the tickets mailed to you or placed in Will Call for pick-up. The only exception is if the purchase date is within one week of the performance. If this is the case, the tickets will automatically be held in Will Call.

Bring your photo ID and the credit card used to make the purchase to the Ticket Office. Once this has been provided and verified, the tickets will be given to you.

You may call the Ticket Office at (562) 916-8500 for this information. While we normally do not get the runtime for performances until a few days prior to the performance, you can expect your show to run approximately two hours. Some performances will run shorter and others will be longer, but two hours is the average runtime of our shows.

Some performers will post tour dates as soon as they get an offer for a performance date. We do not post any performance information until we have a confirmed on-sale date.

The auditorium seats move on floating air casters that can be moved into five different seating arrangements — Arena, Concert, Lyric, Recital, and Cabaret. For each auditorium arrangement, acoustic ceiling panels move to ensure optimal sound quality.

Seating online is based solely on the number of tickets you are requesting and the desired price range. You cannot select special seat locations online. If you are in need of wheelchair accessible/box seats, or if you have a specific seating request, please visit or call the Ticket Office at (562) 916-8500 during regular business hours.

Because all events listed in the season brochure are available for purchase at the same time, it is not uncommon for some performances to sell out early in the season. If an event is listed as sold out or the ticketing system cannot find seats to match your request, please visit or call the Ticket Office at (562) 916-8500 during regular business hours as there may be scattered seats available for purchase. You may also request to be added to a wait list.

A wait list becomes available once a performance is sold out. You may request to leave your name, contact information, and the number of tickets you wish to purchase. If tickets become available, we will call those on the wait list. We do not hold seats for patrons on the wait list.

To improve your seat location within the same performance, you may bring your current tickets to the Ticket Office to be held for upgrade. At the time of your upgrade request, we will ask for a credit card number that will be automatically charged the difference in ticket price, a $3 facility fee, and a $6-per-ticket service charge. Upgrades are not available on complimentary tickets.
